May 27, 2009: PCC Awards First Anti-Doping Research Grant

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Partnership for Clean Competition (PCC) announced today the awarding of its first anti-doping research grant since the research collaborative was formed in 2008. The recipient of the $500,000 grant is J. Thomas Brenna, Ph.D., of Cornell University for his grant proposal titled, “Characterization of the Human Urinary Steroidome for Anti-Doping Applications.”

February 6, 2009: PCC Appoints Scientific Advisory Board Members

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Partnership for Clean Competition (PCC) today announced the appointment of its first eight Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) members. The SAB consists of internationally recognized experts who will review anti-doping research grant requests, make funding recommendations to the Board of Governors and provide oversight regarding the results of research projects. Larry Bowers, Ph.D., Chief Science Officer for the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA), was selected to serve as the SAB chairman.
